Default should i buy...

the cobb ap or cpe flash? i like the way my car runs right now. all i really want is my car to stop falling off at 5500 rpms. i was wondering if the hype for the v103 maps are worth it for my car or if i should just buy the flash. here is a quick list of my mods if it makes any difference. cs tbe, turboxs fmic, hks sri, turbosmart dual port, reworked turbo, cdfp. any helpful input from users of either one would help. please dont say "search" because ive been reading and now im just asking for your opinions. thanks in advance.

buy the ap, the cpe flash is inferior and costs nearly as much IMO.

right now the cp-e flash seems the way to go. i have both, after trying out all the released maps for the AP (for my stage 2 + MSCAI) - i like the cp-e flash better.

if you get an AP and dont like any of the maps i can send you a plain full throttle map, until something better comes out, just let me know.

Cobb AP. Not having to send your ECU off everytime for an update, and not just getting a throttle adjustment. SB+Flash=too much money to have to splice into your ECU, or cough up more money for a PnP.

get the throttle flash for now... you can always upgrade the sb later if you choose to.

the AP isnt an option right now.... its been a tough go for these poor guys who have had them. Your reworked turbo upgrade makes it a nonoption, imo.

If you wait, maybe the AP will make power some time, without any issues....maybe you'll get a map that can sorta work. but if you want to act now the cpe flash is your best option.

as far an AP throttle flash.... there is a reason they said that open throttle doesnt make power. its because their control of throttle didnt make power and the cpe does. that should shed some light on the first question as well..lol

that said.... let me know if you want to buy a flash or standback

CP-E's throttle flash has been shown to make 40whp, after 6000rpm. Before 6000rpm, almost no gains. How would they be different anyway? To be honest, power after 6000rpm is what makes sense, because that's the only place where the throttle on the stock calibration is really closing.

he stated in his post that he was looking for power after 5500, that was his stated goal. guys with the reworked turbo, and the throttle flash, are getting way over 300whp with the combo. big turbo guys see gains throughout the band.

but anyway..... if he decides he wants it he now knows who to contact for a deal
