Cool Show me your Standback Installs...

On Friday, I'll be finally receiving my PnP Standback!!!!

I would like to see how you guys that have the Standback, have installed it in your rig.
-Is it something you install in the cabin (glove box, under dash) or does it stay in the engine compartment?
-Do you have any wiring that has to be routed into the cabin (through firewall)? If so, what access media did you use?

Thanks for the help... I would like to be able to access the Standback inside the cabin without having to pop the hood.

If u go through the fire wall you can install it in the cabin, but it fits perfect beteween the battery cable and the battery "snug". Mine setup looks kinda getto but works peeeerfect! I'll take a pic during lunch

Aren't you worried about a battery failure and totaling your Standback...?

Yeah, like if you had a leak or crack in the battery and fluid got all over the Standback?
Plus acidic vapors and heat...not worried about any of those things?

I guess if its been like that for over a year, its OK then...
How has the Standback been working for you?

Sweet!! I can't wait!!

So where did you mount your switch...? Does CP-E provide you enough wire to go through the firewall?

Yes theah do BUT you have to put the wires through the fire wall before you intall them in the plug, i ran out if time to do this.. as you can see my switch sits on that fuse box to the rigth of the battery. I could cut the wirs and make extensions or detacth them from the plug but haven't done it it woudl be esier to do it when you install...
