Default stock ECU max ability

I got to be at the threshold by now, I mean all these mods with no fuel added or tune and im still running close to rich all the way to top end of 6th gear. how is this possible? and yes i know im an idiot for even taking the risk but this is pretty impressive. I know the car is good because ive hooked up to an autometer air/fuel gauge and im fine all the way to redline. the only thing is the extremely violent back fires i get at WOT when shifting. and 2nd gear hesitates when i punch it at low rpms, but when it stops bitching the car explodes foward. What do you guys think? Is there someting im damaging but dont know it yet? by the way, the boost is allways 17 - 18psi depending on the gear.
Any input is welcome... Im definitly getting the CP-e ems so dont think im just going to leave it like this, but ive never seen a ECU that adapts so well to mods. or maybe im wrong.

If you don't have a pump and your running rich in all gears your TP is closing and making your car seems to just be running rich but your car is slow. FACT

I'll put money your Throttle plate isn't hitting 65% and its dropping below 49 by 45-5 k......

You'll know your running good when you can hit 61-65% throttle and not drop below high 50s when you shift. if your stock pump and got a decent amount of bolt ons your no doing those things....

Well not rich but pretty close and this was a autometer ultralite series air/fuel gauge so not too sure how accurate either. So your saying that the ecu could limit my throttle because of the insufficient fuel??? I did not know that was possible. so pretty much the ecu is right now saving my car from running lean. got it. Will a fuel pump fix this? Oh hey i know you where not taking a jab at me or anything but beleive me, the mazda is running. I know racing is not condoned in this site so im not going to go into detail but ive run LS2's with 150shots, fully bolted on evos, suby's, single turbo 1jz's. my only loss was to a single turbo 1JZ @ 16psi with fuel (he walked away from me top end) So if your telling me its not at full throttle then damn.

when I dyno'd 303 some days the car would be fine then other days I would lose to cars I shouldn't have. It took me a while to figure out my fuel pressure was dropping which in turn the TP closes to save the car. when the TP closes your boost takes a hit and your A/fs run rich. what Im saying is that if this IS happening to you your ok for part of the gear but then your getting short changed.

I was chewing stock ls1 myself when my car wasn't running right but I hit a 107 trap wall just I couldn't get over but now since the pump I've think I've successfully surpassed it judging by the new E92 M3 I won two rolls against from 30-140. (They were ROUGH though trust me......)

you will not sell your stock exhaust and intercooler for enough to cover the EMS... much less to cover tuning.... and even less of a chance to cover any credit cards on top of that

you are kidding yourself if you think you can get that much money for them.... listen to Darksun and keep it!
