Default WTF Catless CEL problem *UPDATED 10/26*

ok so i did my CS DP a little more then a year ago. i got the 02 slow response code after maby 6 months (have the non fouler in). about a month ago i got it again. then once a week for the next month and then starting last week i got it daily and now today when i clear it it comes back within 5-10 mins of driving. what gives? like why is it coming more and more now? i think im going to try a slightly shorter non fouler and see if that helps. the diode trick doesent work here cause thats for the below threshhold code. jordan also suggested using some electronic parts cleaner and clean it off to see if that helps. anyone see this trend? my afrs are spot on while driving and everything else seems fine.

I'd try cleaning it or just remove the non-fouler and see what happens.

If your going to do the diode trick you need to remove the anti-fouler.. I've had mine in for about 15K miles with no MIL... You'll just run a little richer at idle and cruise...

Have you drilled out the cork sport non fouler? Take the non fouler out and measure its size with a drill bit, then drill it out one or 2 sizes up from there. Mine did the same sequence of p0139's until I did this. Since then it has only come back on once or twice in a year.

I think it was ATE BALLER who posted something about getting a piece of the cattalitic (sp?) converter and placing that near the tip of the sensor. I think that is what I read it has been a while.

hey superskaterxes, try a heavier oil unless you already are to see if that prevents it from smoking.
