| I admit I am jumping the gun a bit with this thread, but I will be updating the first post as I go along. Mine is on order and expected to arrive any day now ![]() I know I needed to get the correction factors for the speed3 which is in the info for the first post. Mainly weight, track, weight, frontal area (which is the hardest info to get) and Cd figures. Along with ratios. These are all required for the dyno portion to work correctly. | ||||||||

| I ordered their "pro" kit which is basically the dash dyno unit, a windshield mount (nice one) some other velcro mounts, interface cable to connect to windows PC or laptop, and software. ![]() This packaging is $50 more than the base model, but gets you the very nicely done windshield mount w/ quick release, dashdyno GPS serial interface cable, ac adaptor, cable ties, usb interface cable. The windshield mount alone is worth the extra money. ![]() The GPS serial port is useful to connect up with a "mouse" or puck style GPS receiver, such as this one.. ![]() These usually run about $49 or thereabouts. I already have a regular standalone GPS unit, but without serial interface. For me, the google maps trip flyover isn't something I was looking to do. | ||||||||

| TOP DOG | Ive got the pro-kit, less the GPS. Im working with Auterra in getting all of our enhanced PIDs since they are virtually local to me. i like the device alot, its more a less, what a DashHawk 2 should have been from the start. The only downside is its sort of troublesome to navigate or to get your warning lights setup.

| The deciding factor for me was the portable nature of the dashdyno.... This means it is easily removed to stock, and can be used to help friends diagnose problems with their cars too. There are some really cool options using linux and carpc setups, but those are far more permanent in nature. More features, but not easily moved from car to car. | ||||||||
