| I probably could of posted this in a few sections but I determined the question I will soon explain will be pointed towards COBB a little more than anyone else. First, my mods: MS CBE, Corksport Testpipe, 1 step colder plugs, forge BPV (Blue w/ 2 shims), rear motor mount, AP ver. 102....stock airbox still. I installed my testpipe a couple weeks ago. I immediatley noticed the nice throatier sound, as well as more vibrations. I reapplied the 1.02 map and went for a 100 miles before making any testing runs. I honestly couldn't tell too much of a difference. I checked for leaks with my testpipe...none that I could tell of. So at this point, I went back to the stock map...KNOCK ME SILLY AT NEARLY 7.0!... I immediatley went back to the 1.02 map and it rarely goes above .7. Last night, I decided to install stock BPV and make some runs....holy crap what a difference in the "overall" feel of the car. I feel the car pulling more, the sound of the testpipe is less but still throatie and the most wierd "side-effect"...less vibrations. Also, my boost hits between 18-20psi. I think the stock bpv is equivelent to the yellow spring in the forge...right? But it HAS to be less than the blue spring and 2 shims. And that's were I think my problem was...the shims. I am going to try the blue spring with no shims and see how that does with my new testpipe, which I heard can raise boost levels. Now for COBB, I know your instructions say to use the stock BPV with the maps...will this apply to ver. 1.03? Do you have any recommendations with using an aftermarket bpv with your maps? I almost feel that having forge bpv will require you to do stringent testing of different settings. Now that I have a "control", that being the stock bpv, feeling really strong, I will be able to more accuratley gauge the effects of forge with different springs and shimms. I hope others with similiar mods can chime in on there results with the forge bpv. Thanks all | ||||||||

Well, only with the stock do I get over 1 knock..... My knock with the mid-pipe stayed the same (0.3 - 0.7) range as without the midpipe. This is with ver. 1.02 map. However, my knock with the stock map and mid-pipe spiked as high as 6.X. With my AP and map 1.02, my knock is always between 0.3 - 0.7. So only with the stock map has my knock gone high. Latest stock flash...I went to the dealer before any mods around June 30th to see why my car didn't seem as powerful. They ended up flashing my ecu. But now that I think of it...would Cobbs stock map include that update? Hope I explained it well...Let me know if you have any more questions! | |||||||||

| Well, I wanted to do more testing and post my results with the Stage2 93 v103a but I found a leak; not from my corsport mid-pipe install, but my MS3 CBE installed by the dealership. I don't know how long its been like that but it is pretty bad. BTW...I tried the Stage1 93 v103f map but it felt weak...so I went with the stage 2 one. But seeing how I have a leak, I may need to start my tests over. I'm going to get that addressed this week. Does anyone know how much that can affect the power? Too be continued... | ||||||||
