+1 Double check all the connections. I'd actually recommend that everyone here change the clamps to "t" style. I honestly believe that these worm clamps are crap and loosen up over time. I removed my forge bpv went back to stock tightened all clamps, inlet appeared to be loose again. I'm now getting no knock at all =). running cobb sri, ap v103 stage 1+sri, cs testpipe, and su mm.
so my knock was either caused by the bypass valve or the loose clamps. If knock doesn't return I'll be putting the forge bpv back on and doing somemore logs

I pulled the plugs, I couldnt take pics that would show it well enough but I will describe what they looked like then someone tell me if thats good or bad: the body where the threads end and the area for the electrode begins was covered in black(carbon, not oil) and the electrode was the opposite, it was light tan almost whiteish color. I dont know much but I think it's running a little lean from what they looked like. Anyone have pics of their plugs I can compare to? I also did the coil spring stretch mod while i had the coilpacks out.

edit: I read an old thread from autoxracer and saw pics of lymerocks plugs and laloosh said in the thread thats what his plugs looked like too so I think i am all good there. now it's on to t-bolt clamps for everything

sounds like you are a bit lean but nothing to worry about. Are there any white specs on the electrode.
here is a pic of mine at 15k. By the way I was only running the ms cai for the majority of the time that was put on these plugs.

How did the piston tops look? Carbon encrusted or clean?

dread: thats exactly what my plugs looked like, nope no specs on the electrode thank god thats the first thing I looked for.
ASIC- I didnt have a good light handy to peek all the way down into those cylinders so I dont know how the pistons looked. based on the plugs I am sure they are black and have carbon on them, like the rest of this damn motor. I am thinking of getting a standback and having laloosh tune it up for me or something I dont know yet whats going to become of this

Good call. I think I'm gonna try this myself. It would be nice if Cobb would release their turbo inlet while I'm going to the trouble.

I'll have some info tomorrow. I filled my tank with 101 octane race fuel, so we'll see if I still get the same KR.

Very interested in this result. We'll see if it's "real" knock.
