| Pilot Skydiver Freeflyer | SOLD PENDING FULL PAYMENT AND PICKUP. I WILL BUMP THIS THREAD IF IT FALLS THROUGH I put this intake on my car 1 week ago, it is a powdercoat grey AEM intake with CARB approval for the MS3, AEM part number 21-642C The dryflow filter is huge, fully 9" long just the filtering part, not including the rubber neck, great for less restriction. This kit has the air straightener included. The intake was on my car for one week and less than 200 miles, it is basically brand new. I love the extra power, BUT I I hate to say it, I am 42 years old and I cant live with the sound it makes, so it is off the car and is ready to be sold. My loss is your gain. If you are young and want the intake noise, then this intake is for you. The best part is, no hassle from the CHP, its CARB Approved, the sticker is on it and everything. Its all the intake power you want, with none of the Cop hassle you dont. $235 shipped. Or if you want to save cash and get it for $195, I have it listed on ebay for $260 ($25 ebay fee if it sells) and you can use livesearch cashback. It cost you $195 after the 25% cashback. I have 155 100% feedback. eBay Motors: AEM COLD AIR INTAKE MAZDASPEED 3 CAI 21-642C CARB APPV (item 260319817057 end time Nov-28-08 18 09 PST)PM me if interested Steve CARB Approved ![]() Easy to Install, trust me if I can do it PhillyB could do it ![]() ![]() 9" long dryflow filter no oiling hassle, less restriction ![]() Includes everything on the table EXCEPT: tape measure, 2 pair glasses, 2 Stickers (my kids nabbed 'em) It will come in the original AEM box and packaging. It is all packed up and ready to go.

I could use another 1" telescoping of the steering wheel. Last edited by FreeFlyFreak; 11-26-2008 at 10:42 AM. |

| This intake adds 25whp, dyno proven by AEM. If someone is looking for a CAI, please get this, you will not be disappointed. Unless you dont like the loud sucking noise that all intakes make on this car, or want a SRI that makes 10-12whp, that makes the same noise. Great deal also. | ||||||||

| I have this as well. I don't know about 25wheel, but its a good quality intake and it comes with an air straightener!! Its identical to the MSCAI except it comes with a straightener and has a bigger filter. although I don't know if a SRI is going to be any quieter than this one. | ||||||||

| Weird, well I'll just ask ya, how difficult was the installation without removing the bumper? Is the filter so big that it takes up that entire area in the bumper? Does it point down or parrallel with the ground?

AEM CAI install HELP The filter takes up most of that space down there It is waaay bigger than any of the other intakes filters. Bigger means better flow. If I was to do it again I would pull the bumper. It would be easier. But it can be done with out pulling the bumper. The hard part is removing the air director below the stock box. There is a bolt you have to take out and you cant see it, worst is they dont tell you what size it is. It is 10mm if anyone is doing this, just knowing that will save you a bunch of time. So I had to do everything by feel and figure out what size it was. I would say the longest period of the install was the tweaking part. Because the filter takes up most of the space in the wheel well, I spent a long time positioning it to make sure it wasnt rubbing on anything. Taking it out and reinstalling stock took no time at all. Steve
