Default Hotchkis Sway Bars

So i finally got around to installing both sway bars. The rear was cake. The front was a pita. Everything fits good, no rubbing, no knocking, no wierd noises. The car is a changed animal, it just wants to induce 4 wheel slides, just perfectly nuetral at the moment. The streering feels stiffer the closer you get to lock in either direction. Overall i recommend this 100 percent!
I havnt really worked on suspension yet besides springs/bars/tires, but the bars are so far my favorite mod. ill get coilovers eventually, i just think all the ones out are shit so far lol

Ya, that front sway install isnt pleasant, but good to hear it was worth it. How long did it take you? There's new coilovers on the way.. real ones, from your favorite people at Cobb

maybe 2 hours for the front, 30 min for the back. I jacked the car up, put it on stands, then used two jacks and 2x4s to jack up the front wheels so the suspension is compressed.

As for cobbs coilovers, if they're good ill run them, i have their springs and like them. If they make anything like JIC magic a2's then im all ears

Any early opinions and/or guessimates about Cobbs coilovers that they're working on? And no, I'm not talking about how long you think till they'll be out...heh People seem to love their springs, I dont really hear many opinions about their front/rear sways tho...Think I've heard before that they're relabeled Hotchkis sways? I dunno for sure...bah Would be nice for them to hurry with the coilovers tho since it seems the market is limited on them atm.

Well if you want to pony up mad money, they will have 3 ways... the real shit, that your accustomed to. I think for reality pricing, they will release 1 and 2 ways. I wouldnt expect them to be less than $1200 for the 1 ways and $2K+ for the 2 ways. No idea on their release date but its something they are working on and have the 3 ways on their car now.

Chris, you didnt have to drop the subframe?

What other coilover options are available for the MS3? I know of Mazdaspeed coils, H&R (which I hear is garbage), KW (Which I think makes the Mazdaspeed coils), BC (but not sure if they're for the speed or NA model)...shrug thas all I know of.

Ive got BC's and they are ok, im happy with them. Anything is better than stock to be honest.

When i was looking at CO's, i factored in the price and what adjustability i would have to suit my needs. BC's have served this purpose so far.

I'm still waiting on what Stretch & CPE are going to offer in the way of the matched springs and damper set before seriously considering COs. With just the Cobb RSB installed on the softer of the two settings, I felt it was a changed animal just from driving on the street. By the end of my recent HPDE, I was able to trail brake into a turn and use just the throttle to adjust the attitude of the car before hittin the apex with confidence. Before, w/o the rear sway, the front would just push and lifting off the throttle wouldn't rotate the car. When going into high speed turns too hot, after braking and initial turn-in, before squeezing on the throttle, the front would push for just a split second and then I'd feel the back end catch up into a 4 wheel slide (no, I'm not talking 4 wheel drift). Once I felt all 4 wheels going in the same direction, I could squeeze on the throttle with any amount of conviction I desired and the car would just go straight.

I think I need at least one more HPDE before I consider adding the Cobb FSB. I'mma wait until I'm signed off to run w/o an instructor before I consider coilovers. But I wouldn't hesitate swapping out for new springs and dampers before my next HPDE though.
