| Haven't seen anything about these yet over here, so I figured I would start some contribution. Here goes nothing....... I installed Cobb Springs on Wednesday with help from the how-to on the "other" forums (btw we need to get the author to post it here). Install was pretty simple, but I made some stupid mistakes that added probably 2 hours to the time. About 5.5 hours by myself with floor jacks and limited tools. Not too shabby. I still haven't been able to get a full-out drive in as it has been raining non-stop here. Went out this afternoon (rained early morning, ground still wet in some spots) and drove the back-roads a bit. Therefore, I didn't push it nearly as hard as I could, plus I was being safe as far as other drivers on the road. Handling is significantly improved. I took a corner hard the other night on wet ground and hit the breaking point and the car under steered pretty hard. Correction was very predictable. Thinking that a rear sway will help this out. Launching is also improved as far as I can tell with launches on recently wet pavement. Wheel-hop is non-existant in 2nd gear (unless a hard 1-2 shift). First is improved, but still there at certain rpms at launch. Should improve on a track, we will see Friday. Had a solid launch at about 3500 rpm and got wheelspin . This is a great improvement from the hopping before. I played with the 1/4 mile on the Dashhawk and got a 13.9@105 and a 14.1@106. Not sure the accuracy, but before I was running a best of 14.2 and I still am waiting on the driver mod to come in (must be backordered?). Regular driving isn't too much worse. It some instances the ride is better, and some it is noticeably more rough. All depends on the condition and characteristics of the road. Overall, the trade-off for handling is well worth it. Car also feels connected to the road at high speeds (>100). I can't notice a difference in height by looking at it. Bottom-line: Great mod, for the money. Highly recommended for daily-driven performance. Hope this makes sense. I have been studying all night and my brain hurts. | ||||||||

| Maybe in a few days pending no rain and a clean car (not likely anytime soon). Honestly, it looks like a completely stock CB MS3 right now. | ||||||||

| agreed. Mine dropped even more after a few weeks and now looks sexy as hell. Has a raked look now because it looks like the front dropped a little more than the back.

| I got my cobb springs and rear swaybar installed this weekend. The spring install on the rear was a breeze for me and a buddy. Having an extra set of hands was critical for me, but thats mainly because I'm really not all that handy. The fronts were a different story. I tried using the scissor jack to break the brake assembly loose from the front strut and just ended up bending the hell out of the bottom of the seat for the spring. My buddy ended up getting the brake assembly off by kicking the hell out of the brake disc to get it to come off. My advice for the front strut would be to make sure you have a prybar and a rubber mallet handy. One person should use the prybar to get the brake assembly to loosen (you'll know what I'm talking about if you take a look at how the strut connects to the brake assembly) and the other should wail on it with the rubber mallet. The springs so far seem just right, not too harsh, they've eliminated a lot of the bounce / floatiness, braking and accelerating have a lot less front-to-back roll. The springs are a good upgrade so far. The rear sway bar however...... is amazing. I don't even know how to describe it... the car just feels so much steadier in the corners. I have yet to do the front bar but so far this thing feels amazing. | ||||||||

| I am planning on picking up the rear sway in the near future. Front sway seems to be too much of a pain in the ass to worry about right now. I had no problems getting the brake assembly loose from the strut. I used a combination of the 3/8 drive trick and the scissor jack. Those combined with a little PB Blaster worked wonders. The part I had trouble with was getting the bolt to break loose at the top of the strut. I took the strut completely out, compressed the spring and couldn't get it to break. Probably didn't help that I only had a small allen wrench and I couldn't get any leverage on in. End result, which I recommend, is breaking that nut while the strut is still attached to the car. Be careful just to break it loose and not remove it, you don't want stuff shooting off everywhere. | ||||||||
