Default suspension check?

noob question.

would it be beneficial/ or even possible to do suspension check to see if there is anything that is wearing that could be replaced or being damaged?

there aren't any odd noises coming from my suspension, but i would like to see if everything is up to par.

if it is possible...then what should i look for? cv boot, control arms, struts/springs?

how many miles do you have on the car?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, and if you were going to worry about something I'd look at the drivers side transmission mount and make sure its torqued down enough.

I've got around 7500. I've wheel hopped just a couple of times and just a tad bit concerned for the longevity of my axles. I also have the privilege of driving on some shitty california roads as well.

I'll check my drivers side tranny mount. that would be the one underneath the battery?

Thats correct. I wouldn't worry too much about the other stuff, you're still well within warranty. I don't think anyone has really had any problems with their axles....

well I did, but thats because my engine fell onto one of them. Keep an eye on that drivers side mount, if it starts to clunk around, take it in to get it fixed ASAP

i wouldn't say that you shouldn't worry about that stuff exactly. what i would say is that you can never be too careful and some common maintenance and inspection is not a bad thing by any means. i will say that i wouldn't be as concerned with the axles as you. if i had hit some wheel hop recently i would be paying closer attention to things like tranny/motor mounts, swaybar endlinks, ball joints, etc...

I blew a shock after going over a nasty pothole a few months ago. I noticed it because one side of my car was like an inch lower than the other. It sucked, BAD.
