Default Need some help, something's up with my steering

OK, so first off, ever since my engine fell out, and the mount was replaced, whenever I change the direction I am turning the steering wheel I feel a little "click" like something is loose somewhere and moving around. The steering wheel moves smoothly when moved in one direction or another, but no matter where it is in the rotation, when I change directions, there is a very slight "dead" spot, and then I can feel and hear a click or a bump noise and then the car reacts. Does not matter if I am moving or sitting still. ANY time I change directions on the wheel this happens. The dealer claimed its normal, but I know it wasn't doing it before, and I know other mazdas don't do this, so please chime in if yours is like this or not.

Also, I was chatting with the dealer today and he mentioned that my car had all the recall work done to it before I even drove it off the lot, and they verified this by the fact that the new bolt was the one they pulled out of the mount when I brought it in with the engine dragging on the ground. He said that the mazda team asked them to send in the mount and stripped bolt because its not supposed to fail like that after a recall. Sweet, I think I got the fluke car that the recall won't help with.

Am I doomed to have this engine bolt keep stripping and failing on me? Could there be a problem with the actual tap the bolt threads into on the transmission? Could that bolt being loose describe the symptoms above? Its literally been a week since they put the engine back in place and replaced this bolt, and its already loose? wtf is going on here?

So part of the problem was that my stock rear mount was partially torn when the trans mount failed.

The other part, and this is whats happening with the steering, is that the springs are moving around a little bit in the shock seat when I turn the wheel.

I am debating whether I should pull the front suspension apart and try to re-seat the springs... or just pull the trigger on a set of koni or bilstein shocks... or just say screw it and take out a 2nd mortgage and get the coilovers.

Which, the springs moving around in their seats? I have no clue how it happened, it wasn't doing it right after I installed them either. I'll get some pics when I tinker around with it this weekend.
