Default Problem with rear strut bushing

So I switched the rear subframes this weekend for my conversion and noticed that the bushing that connects the strut to the brake assembly on the drivers side was slowly coming out. The lip of the bushing on one side was damaged at some point and was being worked out over time and not by the accident the car was in, according to a mechanical engineer and the guy that runs the machine shop here at my work. I don't have pictures at the moment, I've been able to recenter the bushing so it should be useable in the short term.

Might be something to look at if your ever under there. Let me know if you find anything.

Would be nice to see some pictures. This was the stock bushing that was slowly coming out?

These pics were taken after I pressed the bushing better into place. The damage is on the left in the first pic and the right in the second pic, most of the other marks on the opposite side where made when I pushed the bushing better into place.

Wow- never seen that before. I'd really like to know if the bushing wasn't fully pressed in from the factory, because sliding past that lip seems unlikely.
