Default Lightweight 2 peice rotors

I have looked around and there arent any made for our car but since Ford does lots or parts sharing does anyone know if another cars rotors would work? I think our calipers are great I would like to reduce some unsprung weight and get a slotted rotor. I did my 1st track day on the 20th and was quite please and suprised at how good the factory brakes were.

just be sure to check your pads frequently. The antilock brakes tend to become useless when the pads are bottomed out.

Another option if you can't find anything ready made, is to do a complete custom job. I just heard about a site called fastbrakes.com. they will build you custom rotors with a base price for fronts at around 1K, rears will run you the same baseline. just read an article about some custom rotors they built for a guy running a 95 civic. 11.8 inch rotors in front and 11.4 in the rear coupled to a wilwood calipers. They came in at 8 pounds less per corner than stock.

afaik the ms3 shares rotors with a small body volvo, i forget which one.

personally, i'd never use anything except Brembo when it comes to aftermarket rotors, and i'd used slotted at that as opposed to drilled, but honestly i think the stock rotors are probably more than ample.

If i were you, i'd upgrade the pads, and lines to braided (if possible) and see where you are at.

I'd send an email to brandon miller, bmiller*@*brembo.com and see what they plan for the car.

Where's the weight savings? The hat that comes into contact with the wheel? If you're into weight savings, why would you start there? I'd believe you'd see more improvement from wheels than rotors.
