Default Front endlinks

I am wondering how much difference front endlinks would make on an MS3 with the stock FSB. I am going to install the COBB springs and RSB but didn't think I needed to change the fsb. I thought maybe stiffer endlinks in the front might be a good balance. Anyone have any experience with this? Thoughts?

Theoretically, changing links shouldn't have any effect whatsoever. They're just rigid metal links bolted between the sta bar and the strut. I would think a metal link is a metal link is a metal link. There are no bushings or any tunable parts to "upgrade", unless you want the adjustability of some aftermarket links.

That being said, at least one guy has felt a little more tied down with AWR links, but he said himself it could be placebo.

In answer to your question, I would say no, new front links would not balance out a rear bar the way a whole new fsb would. Perhaps someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

The stock end links are solid as it can get. I know. When i did the FSB install the car had no load on it so end links were was too short. So i cut the front end links and welded it back. When i drop the car the end links were hitting the sub frame. I know i'm a reatard. You have to load the suspension in order to install the front sway bars. I went to the dealer and bought a set of endlinks from a reagular mazda3. Same thing but the only thing diffrent where the end link bolts to the sway bar on speed3 has a bigger diameter. But the regular 3 has a smaller one. I just added a washer and perfect. They wanted $30 extra for speed3 end link. Fuck that.

But to answer your question is that you dont need end links. Our end links are steel and very very solid.

Please don't buy the after market crap that has a hiem join.. The after market one do not have ball joint filled with greas, so if you put it on it will make noise.

I've got the full set of AWRs and I am happy with them. I changed the stock ones out because the rear stock endlinks broke; one lost a nut and there was play in the ball joint.

I later found out (through other members) that if you do upgrade your sway bars, its best to upgrade the endlinks because the stockers will eventually fail...

When I replaced my endlinks, I did feel a certain added stiffness. The car seemed to be more planted. And after 3 months of having the endlinks with over 6 autocrosses, daily driving, and incliment weather (100* temps with daily rain shows) my endlinks are silent.
NO NOISE!!!

AWR FTW!!!

Though I wouldn't buy them to balance out the front with the rear. I would buy them to get rid of the crap that the stocker are; especially if you upgrade your sways.

Good luck, let us know how it turns out!!

Sorry, but this reply is crap. Stockers as solid as it can get??? Puuuuulease. The stock endlinks will bind and fail (as AutoXRacer's did) with any sort of heavy use. The stockers also flex under full load as well. While it's not a dramatic improvement in daily driving, the harder you drive and the harder your aftermarket bar, the better the heim joints will perform.

Although I personally wouldn't buy them from the vendors (I can make my own cheaper), they are a good investment if you're going to track your car in any form, even with stock sways.

Thanks for the responses guys!

Sorry it took me so long to get back, my wife and I just had a baby, suddenly the endlinks were my last priority. Went with this mod for my interior.

I got the rear sway and springs plus some redline mt90. Sould be a good weekend.
