Default HKS BPV and the stock recirc hose...

Have any of you cut your recirc hose to fit the HKS BPV on recirc?

I've got it on VTA right now and I want to put it on recirc but the stock hose is always crimped/bent and blocking off the airflow.

No, the stock hose is the best fit for the HKS...but you need to rotate it so it aligns the best it can. It will always be a little/slightly bent, but not bad enough to affect the airflow.

Some people have cut it at the bend and inserted some piping to facilitate the bend. There is also a spring that they sell online to prevent hoses from kinking and allows you to bend it to shape. I don't remember where I saw it, but it was sold by one of the silicone hose companies.

There's going to be a lot of different answers to this... some people cut it, but then you need to add another section in using band clamps and such. What I wound up doing was putting a band clamp around the kinked area, and tightening it until it popped... somewhat into shape. There isn't enough airflow through the hose to be affected by it not being perfectly shaped throughout. Not the best way of going about it, but the clamp is hidden by the CAI and it doesn't rub. The shape of the hose is so awkward that it just makes it a huge pain in the ass. FMIC ftw.. soon as the bank account says I'm allowed to.

rotate the recirc hose from its stock orientation counter clockwise a little and it will fit onto the hks just fine no cutting of oem parts required
