Default GT28 turbo?

Hey all,Im thinking about going to a GT28 turbo. How are the oil seals on this unit and does anyone of you think I will have a problem with it getting oil leaking past the seals?I was told the Garrets have a much better seal design but I want to know what you all think about them.I know they are a much better turbo then our K04s but I dont want any more problems with smoking.

Thanks

I thought it had bearings but I wasnt sure.It sucks that to upgrade to this turbo I will have to spend another $220 for a 3" inlet ontop of the $1500 for the turbo..

Wouldn't the RPMC inlet with a different coupler work?
They sell 3" to whatever reducers/transitions.
3" to 2", 2.5", and 2.75".

Thanks for the link...THere are some local shops around here but I havent been to any of them.RPMC would work but that is whats costs the extra money.I think forge or someone is coming out with a custom inlet soon that is suppose to be cheaper then what is out now.

The inlet on my ATP GT2871R is 4inches. So if you can find a way to get a 4" to whatever reducer, then you can try that. Otherwise you need the ATP 3" inlet pipe to complete the kit. It's a very very tight fit. If you do get the ATP inlet, make sure you clear out the inlet for metal shavings.

How are you liking that turbo so far?It looks like I will be getting it sometime soon.Ken from PG says I should be able to fit a reducer hose on the inlet on the turbo and use my stock intake inlet,It must be very very tight in there with that.it will be nice not having to worry about a smoking turbo seal again tho. Also how many psi are you running that turbo at?
