Guys Ive got a good deal on one of these ($150) as my buddy is selling it. Good choice? Ive got a MBC now but of course that means whatever i set my boost to in 4th will not be the same in 5th and 6th, so i have to turn down the boost to stock levels in 3-4th to get no knock in 5-6th. Will this do what i need? Good idea?

if i aint wrong i remember evilmonkey is using this one to make 411whp and is the only one that let him reach his boost levels how he wanted perfectly.

I have one hooked up in my car. But I'm currently only using it as a boost gauge. I ran it earlier with my GT28, but I couldn't hit my target boost because I forgot to add a pill in the vac hose for the turbo. In the instructions (downloadable on the GReddy website) it says that the target boost will change with the gears (I think.) I like the fact that you can set 2 boost levels. Plus it'll record your boost spike level. I also like to over spike protection. Just be sure to read the directions if you do get one. I may try it again when I have time. I'll have profile 1 set for 16psi, and profile 2 set for 22psi.

Forgive my ignorance, a pill? Dont wanna mess this up and i dont know what that is.

Demi, if you are running the stock turbo, then it's nothing for you to worry about. See my thread on GT Series turbo's if you are curious about the "pill." It's something you need for the ATP turbo kits.

Rod, are you talking about the Profec? I haven't tried it yet with my current setup with the pill installed on my GT28. But I'm looking to try it again soon if/when my PG manifold comes in. I'm too lazy to get under the hood right now. But it can be very tricky to setup. You will need a full tank of gas and plenty of room to test things out. Setting it up is the hard part.

Cool, thanks kev, my only real question is what wires on the valve are which? This one is missing the harness and i dont know which terminal is which. I should be able to place the valve right where i have the MBC right. Just hook up the vacuum lines and wires and go right?
