| I am thinking throwing a front mount on the 3 and do the W2A setup when the exchange rate drops a bit... I am not a big fan of paying for off the shelf kits so will be making the setup myself. Question is, what size cooler can i fit in the front? I dont really want to pull the front bar off just to check sizing at the moment. So if someone can give me some idea of size, or if someone has their bar off and can measure for me that would be great. Width doesnt look like a porb, but height would be, maybe thickness too??? Thanks. Jason Oh, and how hard is it to take the front bar off and fit again? What sorta time frame does it take to remove and replace? Is there any guids on here? anywhere? | ||||||||

| 8" high.... Thats small as! goin to be had to find an aftermarket core that size... Does the pipe that runs under the core still sit high enough to use the OEM undertray? Maybe i can get away with a slightly larger core if it sits a bit lower.. My car is standard height and dont really plan to lower it any time soo, (lowered springs dont make it go any faster..) And i will be going with a W2A setup later anyway. | ||||||||

| traction can make you go faster... and bigger is not always better sir. good luck with the L/A IC, hope your not using a core that large with a L/A IC.

Lowering you can does not equal better grip on the drag strip, the most important thing with FWD cars or any car for that matter is weight transfer, need to keep it over the drive wheels, meaning usually jacked up ass end with hard setup in rear for a FWD car... And as for the L/A heat echanger size, no of course not! | |||||||||

| Most of my undertray fit, except right under the core.

| I purchased a core yesterday and fitted it up, just have to work out the piping now. core size is 550x180x76. Fitter perfect under the support bar and allows the front tray to stay on, will prob remove the under tray to make it easier to run the piping around the back. Should be all installed, set up and running for under a 1/4 of the price of the kits.... F#@K the exchange rate ![]() | ||||||||

| u might wanna PM IDRVSLO or BNOON because they both did custom W2A setups and were even interested in making kits for everyone.

| I didnt really wanna put up any pics of the setup untill it was all finnished but what the hell, ![]() ![]() Pick up some silicon bends and alloy on Monday so will have a play around and see if i can get it dummied up and ready for welding. Right now im drivin round with my fake cooler , which is now covered in bugs n shit from the drive to work![]() superskaterxes, yeah i was going to do a similar setup to those ones but i will make it up myself, rather than pay someone to do it, and at the moment im not paying double the price for it because of the exchange rate, im trying to find decent alternative in Aus that will fit where i want it to. plan on mounting mine where most of you have your CAI in front of the wheel well if i can fit it. Out of sight out of mind, and should make it real easy to bleed with a filler in the bay up high. | ||||||||
