Default OBDII CONNECTORS

Anyone try an OBDII "Y" connector to use 2 devices at the same time for readings? Can it be doable? OR will the readings be misread by two sources drawing power for the readings?

Example:
COBB AP and DashHawk

Unfortunately, No. Something about them having the same address/code causes them to interfere with each other. Otherwise I would be rocking the dashhawk and AP Combo.

Thanks, after an hour of searching and weeding thru the crap lol.

They don't say anything about the COBB AP, but they do say ID's conflicting with only two other types of scanners/readers on the OBDII port. I will try it with the COBB and see what happens.

If that doesn't work, I will use the power mod for the DASHHAWK.
Putting an on/off switch on line #1 of the DASHHAWK cable. Atleast that way I don't have to keep unplugging them to use either one.

Or a three way switch to power one or the other.

FYI:
Ok, tested the OBDII "Y" Cable with COBB AP and MSD DASHHAWK:

DH overrides the AP connection no matter which one goes on first or the same time.
AP will work if DH is unplugged or not in a reading state. If the DH is in menu, setup, etc then the AP will work. Other than that the DH has the primary control and AP is in an error or searching state.
So making a pin #1 toggle switch in the DH cable will be needed or not depending how you want to do it.
