Oh, if you have an oscilloscope, then you're in business. Just probe at the yellow wire connection. You'll see a square wave with a + time of about 4 ms and a period of about 120 ms at idle. If you don't see it, you've got the wrong wire.

Scratch that... This is an MS3. Hold on, it should look like this:


If you see that at the yellow wire and at the yellow wire connection at the end of the wiring harness, then there is a problem with the WOT Box....

hooked up DMM with frequancy, the portable o-scope is offshore.. i get a 10khz signal, at the wot box.. is that right?

eh, no. too fast.... You should get a signal that only appears when the car is running, and it should be proportional to RPM....

Let's see.... 60-2 crank wheel, 800 rpm idle, 13.33 hz rotations * 58 teeth = about 773 hz at idle.

I've only taken my car to the track twice. The first time I burned my clutch pretty bad. Second time I destroyed my trans. I've been driving a stick for 20+ years, but, never tried racing and, well, I guess I suck. This thing sounds basically like "cheating". Even someone who sucks as bad as me will be able to turn it good times. At least, that's what this "cheater" is hoping for...

Not really if you suck you suck. The wot feature is straight forward but on "Auto" if you shift slow your times will still suffer and the two step will only keep you consistent if you have the right tire on the car. You gotta realize the wot box/two step controller will only help you if you work with the thing. Team effort I guess lol.

Well, it will help make your WOT Shift easier, so you shouldn't blow your transmission up trying to shift fast....

got mine working, on the plug with the Crank wire, on the exact opposite side there is an identicle wire, tapped into wrong one..

now i am gonna need new tires soon... damn 2step.. lol... also look for a full write up on it within the week.

Ahh. Good. Sorry about that. I didn't realize there was an identical wire on the speed 3. I hate when they do that.... It makes my job writing directions miserable....

lol, yeah to clearify it, in the directions, put the White wire with red Tracer closest to the battery, when pluged in..

so i dont feel like going through all 16 pgs of this thread. ne1 blow a cat yet?

im def gettin set on the WOT box, im just a lil worried w/ the 2 step.... right now my exahust is all stock, my test pipe is en route and I was planning on going w/ a catted DP (was planning on waiting for Cobb) or if i cant wait just go w/ the CPE catted DP.

ne1 have ne problems w/ that type of set up?
