***Official VVT acuator failure thread/database***

Ok, I've seen enough threads about the VVT actuator shitting the bed recently, I thought I'd start a thread where anyone who has had it fail, can chime in.

Please reply IF you had the VVT actuator fail and fill in the following info.

5) oil type/frequency synthetic 5w30 every 3,000 miles
6) replaced before catastrophic failure? Yes
7) mods on engine: none at failure, but had intake, tmic and bpv for 50,000 miles
8) comments: $1200 to fix something with a TSB sucks.
