(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks for the aesthetic observation. Not sure how relevant to my question it was. Some feedback on the wheel manufacture or advantage of the 235/40 tire size would have been a lot more helpful. Thanks for the 2 cents though. Maybe I should change the name on the thread to "how hideous are these?" |

| Not Ranked : 0 score 235/40 helped me with the grip factor and adding a decent tire with it will not only get grip but cut more wheel hop from the picture as for the mani, never heard of them... yea and those are pretty bad, but you have to get points for trying to do something dif then everyone else. |

| Neutral : +1 score you will definitely be pleased with an 18x8 wheel with 235 rubber over the stock setup, theres no doubt about that. asa wheels are pretty popular, at least i always thought they were. tire rack is the main supplier for them, and in my mind they wouldn't carry wheels that they didn't trust as far as safety. and i know you didn't ask for opinions, but those are the most awful looking wheels ive ever seen.

| If you want a nice 18X8 wheel, get some rotas. ASA are really not good for wheels, heavy and those colored slats are going to trap a lot of brake dust in there.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks for the feedback on the setup. So I am definitely going with the 18x8 rims and wider tires. These rims weigh 23.5 lbs. Does anyone know how this compares to the weight of the stock rims? I am on the fence on the look of the rims. I definitely don't want another red MS3 with black rims and a red lip. Tire rack has some pics of these rims on a red car. I guess if the red insert look like crap after I install them I could always remove or paint them. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score $3200 for a set of rims is crazy! I did not want to go over $1000 for the set. So based on feedback - I am going to go with the wider tires and keep looking for 18x8 rims to put them on. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score They don't publish the weight. I called a distributor and they said that the shipping weight for each one was about 30lbs so they estimated the weight of the rim at about 25 - 26lbs. I am not sure what the stock rims weigh, but this seems heavy to me. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I actually like the look of the ASA wheels with the red inserts. And I am NOT your average dude that just goes with what is new and fancy. I usually go with VERY understated stuff, but I do like those.
