Default Am I joining the clutch failure group?

5th and 6th gear acting up today, second time it's happened. First time was in 4th gear and the road might have been a bit slippery so I wrote it off even though it seemed weird. This time today though it was doing it relatively consistently and was able to grab a couple logs:

Only 42k on the car but still under warranty so crossing my fingers Mazda will fix it up.

I'll send you a case of beer if they cover your clutch. ;-)

Maybe your rear main is leaking?

Clutch disc itself is only covered 12/12 unless failure caused by something else. Good luck

They did my clutch pedal assembly this summer...mayyybe get lucky? I don't know, going to at least ask and see what they say. I doubt I'll attempt a clutch myself anyway, so they'll likely be the ones replacing whether it's my dollar or theirs.

Lovely...Mazda found nothing wrong, says everything is fine. I think it happened a time or two while on the drive with them but it was borderline wheel spin (roads weren't good today). I guess since it's not happening consistently I just have to wait it out...or go ahead and replace it anyway.

Frustrating. I'd rather them have said, replace the damn clutch.

Well you wouldn't want to replace it only to find out when they take it out that it was still good lol

True, although if it was rear main seal or something they'd be able to see that when they go to pull it apart. It's worse knowing that something is wrong and could cause me issues at any moment.
